Paving over the whimpering echoes of emo in full retreat, REVENGE is speaks with fervent guitars, slashing melodies, and the tight instrumentation of a proto-rock outfit. Featuring former members of the Exploder and Daybreak, the band rips through EMOTIVE, highly charged melodic vamps with a physicality lacking in most contemporary rock.

Snake Storm, the album’s opening salvo, spreads a thunderous drum attack against the searing lead vocals of Jesse Lyell, while Matt Grabs guitar amps out at maximum intensity. Modulating rhythms, Autumn Cons speaks in a darker language, with undertones of anxiety turned to angst with agile lyrics and helix like guitar riffs. Finishing off the EP, Art Attack explodes into an anti-anthem, setting though provoking imagery against buffeting guitar licks and wild, ecclesiastical arrangements.

A confrontational record for fans of gut wrenching rock, Revenge Is offers a direct punch to the raw, unfettered underbelly of post-emo punk.
