Product Description
NETHERWORLD is the name of a fantastic US line-up that issued an only album in 1981, "In The Following Half-Light", very quickly unavailable and very much sought-after. Scott STACY (Guitar & vocals), Randy WILSON (Keyboards), Denny GORDEN (Vocals), Pete YARBROUGH (Bass), Greg SCHOPPE (Drums), Kirk LONG (Guitar) and Thayne BOLIN (Drums) are definitely great Progressive rock musicians ! Following the example of some of their fellow-countrymen of the late Seventies (NIGHTWINDS, INFINITY...), NETHERWORLD could create a kind of music with a high quality, inspired by the best bands in this style (GENESIS and EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER for example), with a particular virtuosity and energy. A little like TWELFTH NIGHT (Neo Progressive is not so far, due to the change of times !), this band combines vocal theatrical intonation, guitar arpeggios, energetic and emphatic keyboards, with multiple breaks and high-velocity solos. All of this is included in a very well composed and! structured music. This reissue includes the neo-classic track "Cumulo-Nimbus", often appreciated by the audience during live shows, and that justifies the album's change in name for its reissue by Musea.
