Product Description
If it is undeniable that the success of ANGE owes a lot to Christian DECAMPS' charisma and peculiar voice, it is also well-known that this line-up from Belfort is more than anything a family matter. Its style and personality also come from little brother Francis DECAMPS' immediately recognisable keyboards sounds. Having had no formal training whatsoever, he perfectly assumes the fact that he learnt to play with two fingers only. This gives him a unique approach and technique of the instrument. He worked on a keyboard in order to make it reproduce the famous Mellotron sound characteristic of KING CRIMSON, and finally got his own original sound. His first album under the name Francis DECAMPS, "Histoire De Fou" (1979) is typical of the ANGE repertoire. Here, Francis DECAMPS' compositions are directly derived from the things he composed for ANGE.
