Product Description
The German band ROUSSEAU issued three albums during the Eighties ("Flower In Asphalt", "Retreat" and "Square The Circle"), that have all been issued or re-issued by Musea. We could define those masterpieces as in the same vein as early CAMEL, CARAVAN and other sophisticated English bands. This line-up performs a very romantic and elaborated music that is fond of nostalgic ambiences. The band is mainly instrumental and their style is mainly based on layers and fluid keyboards parts as well as splendid flute solos and airy guitar. After fourteen years of silence, those nice German musicians come back with "At The Cinema", a collection of fourteen tracks (A sign ?), half sung and half instrumental. ROUSSEAU has always been a sincere band, both talented and honest. Their very personal musical world is made of quiet, fluid and suggestive melodies, romantic lyricism and nostalgic poetry. Lets remember that they are one of the most gifted CAMEL disciples ! "At the Cinema" shows the same sweetness, the same musical purity that the band already had twenty years ago, with just a little more of a rock feeling sometimes. A kind of music outside trends, performed by a band outside time. Some recommended jewels for all the fans of refined Progressive rock.
