Editorial Reviews
"the ultimate party boy during summers on South Bass Island."
Product Description
Ray Fogg has finally released the CD his fans have longed for.... a live recording which captures the fun had at the show he has taken to party resorts like Put-in-Bay, Key West and New Orleans. LIVE! From Put-in-Bay - Christmas in July features all of Fogg's talent in one CD...his great songwriting, his parodies, his humor and most of all his interaction with his audience.
Recorded over several shows during Put-in-Bay's fabled Christmas in July's weekend, the CD is not really a Christmas CD at all, although you might enjoy playing some of the songs at your adult holiday party. It seems no one escapes being the subject of Fogg's pointed humor as he pokes fun at boaters, drinkers, homosexuals, heterosexuals, waitresses, Canadians, dead singers and just about anyone sitting in the front row. Somehow he gets away with the crowd still loving him and begging for more, just to be part of the fun.
In all the fun, Fogg whips off 19 live tracks, all containing material never before released (except for two songs which were previously recorded in different versions). Included are a couple recent classics from his show including The Boater's Song (a favorite of boaters making excuses to be on their boats) and A Might Bit Peculiar (a ode to the hangover - and the night which preceded it).
Fogg's band, The Swingin' Lesbian Frogs, join him for two bonus studio tracks. I'm Santa Claus is sure to put you in the mood for some naughty yuletide lovin. Lastly, Fogg gets serious and puts his touch on the great Pat Dailey/Shel Silverstein song Blue Catawba Moon.
