About the Artist
Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne, FL

Juniper is Ron and Lisa Potter, a duo who want to break the stalemate of mainstream music with a different kind of sound. The kind that entertains your mind and haunts your soul.

Ron is the guitar-toting, songwriting philosopher of the two. He gives credit to Beck, Radiohead, and Garbage for influencing their style. He remembers listening to Information Society, Mr. Mister, and Journey as a teenager and thinking to himself that he could make songs like that. Their inaugural self-titled release "Juniper" was both a training and testing ground.

The vocals, by Lisa, are an eclectic mix of classical training and garage band chick. Lisa states that they work together as a team, but Ron writes all of the lyrics and most of the music. "I like to be his sounding board," states Lisa.

The songs are written in moments of inspiration. "It can happen at any time," Ron explains. "Driving down the road, eating dinner, even brushing your teeth. Everything stops when a song idea comes. You have to write it down or you lose it." Although written in the moment, the songs are brilliantly refined.

Throw in a collaboration like IKON and you have quite an unusual mix. Juniper is not a "niche" group. They want to carve out their own space. Having been dubbed "fantastically imaginative and creative" by John Mays, President of Gravity Records and the GMA stating "the style of music shows a good sense of originality," they are well on their way.

Juniper has opened for several bands such as Jeremiah’s Grotto (Vindicated Records) and Silent Day After. Performances have taken them to cities such as Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville, Gainesville and Panama City Florida.

What’s next? Only the future knows for sure. But you can be a part if you join the ride!
