Another Muggy Day

About the Artist
Late 1991, Mike Muggy met MavEryc Stevenson by chance when he walked into a friend's house and heard what was to be Take it Slow playing softly. "Do you hav e any words or melody for that?" he asked. (His approach to writing is melody before words) MavEryc didn't. . .and the rest is history.

The duo spent the next 5 years writing and playing acoustic music together. MavEryc was notorious for carrying his guitar everywhere, and the bulk of Another Muggy Day was written at that time. They would perform at biker bars--in between grunge bands--simple acoustic sets, and definitely earned the respect of the local music community. They dubbed their act "The Me & Mike Band."

In 1997 came the addition of Tami Muggy on background vocals, and the beginning of t he transition from acoustic Me & Mike to electric Mr. Muggy. The band began shoppin g for studios and musicians to record their debut album.

Another Muggy Day was recorded over about a year's time period. The band started wi th some basic analog tracks that had been previously recorded and then finished the recording digitally at Cherry Productions. Various studio performers were hired fo r the album. The album was mixed at Triad Studios, Redmond WA by Tom Hall.
