About the Artist
Sappy Bell Now that the dawn of 'boy-bands' is fading and extreme music has fallen into the spotlight with countless acts emerging on a daily basis, today's music can seem monotonous. It's up to the artists themselves to make music that's a cut above that of their peers, and Sappy Bell has been lurking in the shadows, plotting and planning its attack for the past seven years. Now the most brutal hardrock band from Cleveland, Ohio invites you to join them as they answer their "Call to Rise!"

Since 1995, this four piece hard rock/ hardcore band has been unleashing its high energy live sets on unsuspecting audiences throughout the Midwest. With four releases under their belts, the guys in Sappy Bell know how to win a crowd and drain them of every ounce of attention they've got. The music you hear at a live show or listen to on your stereo is real blood, sweat and tears grinded into an audio onslaught that's made genuinely by the people who deliver it. Countless audiences of loyal Sappy Bell fans at the world-famous Cleveland Agora, the Odeon, and Peabody's Downunder have witnessed the sounds that couldn't be ignored preceding Stereomud, Prong, Nothingface, Vanilla Ice, D.R.I. and others.

The band's latest release CALL TO RISE is a six song EP that showcases everything the guys are capable of and pounds every beat into the listener's head. There's no gimmicks, masks, or heavy production tricks here, just exactly what you get every time you see these hardworking professionals. A unique sound that lies somewhere in the lines between hardrock and hardcore metal.

From the killer aggression in songs like, "Walk the Dead" and "Hero-Maker," to the beckoning calls in "Departure," Sappy Bell's versatility adheres to itself and insists you take hold. The powerful vocals of John Sloboda are well accompanied by the skills of each member of the band. Bassist Joe Blair and drummer Tony Castillo lay down solid rhythms that lend themselves to the harsh arrangements that Greg Castillo tempers with catchy guitar riffs laced with elements of hardcore and blues. Thought, energy, and skill are put into every Sappy Bell song providing you with melody one second and a hammering, throw-down the next.

As people stumble to catch the next trend, and aimlessly try to distinguish extreme bands from one another, Sappy Bell will still be calling. Those who listen will never be able to ignore what they've heard and seen. Day in and day out, the entity that is Sappy Bell is harnessing its energy and providing audiences with the best their music has to offer: high energy performances that are backed up with the ability to deliver time and time again, and quality music that is made for the listeners by people who care about their product!
