Product Description
Having released a debut album in 1974 with Lowell George and legendary funksters The Meters providing backing Palmer immediately proved his blue-eyed soul and R&B credentials. Subsequent releases built on this range with reggae and rock all getting his unique treatment but whilst this breadth impressed an ever growing fan base, stylistic changes seemed to confuse the mainstream. All this altered during the 80s when the combination of a slick-suited Palmer and a backing band made up of glamorous models provided MTV with a stream of irresistible videos. Massive international success followed and he continued to notch-up chart hits until the early 90s. This live performance recorded at the legendary Harlem Apollo Theatre some 18 months before his sad death in 2003 finds him drawing on career highlights with a set that includes many of his best loved hits. Music Club. 2005.
