In 1999 I was living alone in a one bedroom apartment in Hollywood, CA, nearly bankrupt because of a failed business project in which I was involved. I had no girlfriend or meaningful personal relationships, and my future looked bleak. Not exactly what I would have predicted when I graduated from Georgetown Law School in 1989.

Today my life could not be better. I have a wife I love more than I can put into words, a beautiful new daughter, a wonderful house near the beach, more friends than I ever dreamed of, and a business that I am passionate about.

These changes took place for a reason. I finally got smart to myself and did what the top 5 percent of the people in the world did: I created a written plan.

I am living proof that you cannot have the kind of success that you want without a plan. My objective for creating PowerFocus was to share the extraordinary step-by-step process I used to change my life.
