Jesse Mills was born 1975 with music in his blood. As a very young boy he had the natural instinct of expressing himself through song lyrics before ever picking up an instrument. When he first picked up a guitar at eleven it was obvious that he was born to play and write music. At fifteen he formed his first band and started gigging steadily on the east coast.

At age nineteen, Jesse and his dad dug an abandoned van out of a snow bank and repaired it. He then traveled across the country from New York to San Fransico California. After arriving, the reality of life set in when he had to live in his van for the first few months. This was a turning point in his musical journey. Jesse spent five years in the bay area writing and gigging with three bands that he formed.

Then in 1999 Jesse moved to Humboldt County where he was able use the more peaceful setting to focus on recording his first album Pocket of Time. The making of this CD was truly a Pocket of Time and it represents his journey down the road of life.
