About the Artist
Elicit is a heavy three piece punk rock n' roll band from Northwest Indiana. They started out just like every other band, except for the fact that they met each other at a garbage dump while searching for opposums. The members, Nick Jordan (drums, vox), Graham Smith (bass, vox), and Leighton Fritze (guitar, vox), have been playing together for over 6 years. Their live show is like an A.D.D. child on cocaine, with lots of psychotic dancing and the occasional fainting. Their sound has been compared to the Clash in a fist fight with Pennywise. Their sound is a mix of old school and new school with loud drums, guitars and lots of catchy melodies. Elicit has played hundreds of shows all over the United States. They have toured from New York to Los Angeles and continue to do so. They have played with bands such as Agent Orange, Dr. Know, The Bad Samartians, Dr. Chud and millions of other great and terrible bands. Their lyrics pertain to a wide variety of themes, such as naked ladies in France, the working class, sarcasm, depression, happy times and all kinds of horrible and great things. Over the six years of playing the band has released three full length records. Their first two records (Time Wasted, 2001 and Ready to Go, 2002) were independently released. Their third, self-titled record was released in late 2004. The band is currently signed with JetSpeed Records and is working on material for a fourth record.
