"Poisoned" is something shimmering and white. Ethereal and enchanting, the 16 songs here are well-realized and even better arranged.
Product Description
Recorded in the Georgian Room of Scarboro Aquarium Club's Baroque mansion, "Poisoned" is an elegant, stylish, somewhat aquatic, mysterious, quirky, and devious romp.
Seemingly influenced by artists such as New Order, The Field Mice, Lighting Seeds, The Divine Comedy, Donovan, Pete Best, The Beach Boys, and The Pet Shop Boys, the recordings on this album, very much like the club itself, although steeped in history have all eyes focused clearly on progress.
From the opening track "Never Been To The Moon" all the way through to the closing "Flying Over Yelapa", the club's current president, Corey W. Schmidt, uses his influence as wisely and seductively as ever. If Scarboro Aquarium Club was a movie, it would surely be as enchanting as "The Wicker Man".
Note: The song "Everything Anyways" was recently featured on Episode 12 of the new CBS television series Joan of Arcadia.
