About the Artist
Way to Fail!! is a three piece that formed in Sanford, Maine in March of 2000. Original members, Eric Grogan, Benji Davis and Ken Larabee recorded the EP A New Complaint in that same month.

After playing a few shows, Way to Fail!! kind of falls along the wayside, enjoying it's first hiatus, as Eric Grogan begins to write material for an upcoming LP.

Through the next year, scattered shows were played. During this time, Ken Larabee was replaced by long time friend of Eric Grogan's...Mr. Jeff Mitchell. By January, 2001, Benji Davis was kicked out of the group and replaced by Eric Gosselin.

After some rehearsals and a few warm up shows, Way to Fail!! records Breeding the Disease with Andy Happel. The record is released and sells well within northern New England. After a few shows, Way to Fail!! enjoys its second hiatus as Eric Gosselin and Jeff Mitchell leave Maine to attend college.

Since then, Way to Fail!! members have kept close in touch, and plan for the future. A tour for the summer is not yet confirmed, but close to it. A new record, titled Transitions, is slated to be recorded in the fall.

Product Description
In essence, a conceptual record based on one's reaction to their youth, surroundings, relationships, and aspirations. This is a record about pain and about growing from it.

Being a band that is based in Maine, it also has a small town feel to it. Sometimes one can find their environment to be too small to attain what they desire in life. Living in a somewhat isolated area can feel very incestous, and gives one a different outlook on life than perhaps someone living in New York or L.A...this also shapes this record.

This record definetely reflects influence from the Pixies, Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Neil Young, and other artists. In a way, it is a collage of these predecessors along with a touch of something kind of different. Way to Fail!! is a band that is constantly evolving...the sound is almost impossible to categorize with a single or short series of labels.
