Glass Wolfe was formed in 1999 by Philip Wolfe and Maria K. Glass. Philip was playing keyboards in an Emerson, Lake and Palmer(ELP)tribute band and Maria happened to have written lyrics for Keith Emerson's new album, so it was only natural and it seemed destined that they would join forces to write material of their own. The end result is this debut CD.
Philip Wolfe has toured and recorded with WASP, Vinnie Vincent, Keel, Impellitteri, and many others including members of Whitesnake, Rainbow, Quiet Riot, Kiss, Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. He has also appeared in various MTV music videos and live concert telecasts. In addition, he also produced a CD Rom collection of sampled sounds advertised internationally in such magazines as Keyboard, Mix and EQ.
Maria K. Glass studied vocals with renowned vocal coach Jeffrey Allen and has been writing lyrics for as long as she can remember. Originally from Rhode Island, she relocated to Los Angeles in 1986 and quickly found success as a model and actress, appearing in Cameron Crowe's "Say Anything" and the TV series Houston Knights. Later, she formed the band UV17, played the L.A. club circuit and wrote lyrics for other artists, including Keith Emerson of ELP.
Additionally, Glass Wolfe includes accomplished studio musicians Howie Simon on guitar, Dario Seixas on bass and backing vocals, and Stefan Svensson on drums.
Howie Simon played in the Metallica tribute band, Alcohollica, who toured with Limp Bizkit in the summer of 2000. Howie has also toured and recorded with Ken Tamplin, among others. Howie is from Buffalo, New York.
Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Dario Seixas has played professionally in the U.S. for the last 10 years. In 1998, he independently produced his first solo album, "The Meaning of Life", singing the vocals and playing all the instruments. He has toured the U.S. and abroad with several groups, most recently Aaron Kristo.
Stefan Svensson is from Askim, Sweden, and has played professionally for many years. He has toured and recorded with John Christ, Ken Tamplin, Liquid Planet and more. He was the in-house drummer for "The Extreme Gong Show" and has written scores and/or appeared in many soundtracks, including "Major League" and "The Waterboy". He has played in several product jingles and has won numerous awards.
