Jacques Pellen is a guitarist from Brittany whose group, Celtic Procession, was featured in this concert at the Festival Les Tombies de la Nuit. For the event, Pellen's group is made up of 18 all-stars, including such luminaries as fiddler Jacky Molard and guitarist Dan Ar Braz, most of whom have played important roles in the festival's past events. Pellen downplays his solo guitar, acting instead as catalyst for the ensemble playing, which features trumpet, harmonica and harp solos. The music draws from traditional Celtic music, jazz and even progressive rock. Erik Marchand, one of the best Breton singers, is featured on the first few tracks, the rest being instrumentals.
