About the Artist
Folias is a flute and guitar duo, featuring Carmen Maret and Andrew Bergeron.

Andrew Bergeron is a guitarist, composer, and teacher. He has performed extensively as a solo guitarist, focusing on compositions of Heitor Villa Lobos, Andrew York and Leo Brouwer. Andrew Bergeron is currently a Master's student in composition at Michigan State University. He is also on staff at Grand Rapids Community College where he doubles as a private guitar instructor and head of the Suzuki guitar program.

Carmen Maret is a flutist, dancer, and tango scholar. She received her Bachelor of Music in flute performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and her Master of Music in flute performance from Michigan State University. Currently she studies Ethnomusicology at Michigan State University where her emphasis is on tango music. Carmen Maret is also an active tango dancer and member of the Michigan Argentine Tango Club.
