Yinon is true member of the world music community.

Several years ago, Yinon traveled to Turkey in order to study Oud with Turkish Oud virtuoso Yurdal Tokcan. The two musicians developed an instant chemistry, which led to Yinon’s on-going collaboration with Turkish musicians. In 2001 Goksel Baktagir and Yurdal Tokcan joined Yinon, Eyal Sela and Yankale Segal in a project called "Café Istanbul" where they performed in the "One World" Festival and played four successful concerts in Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv and Haifa. In addition to performing, recording and composing, Yinon Muallem conducts percussion workshops. Yinon’s instructional video "Arabic Percussion" is sold worldwide and is included in some of the world’s leading music catalogs.

Yinon is joined by members of his percussion ensemble to perform and demonstrate five different Arabic percussion instruments:

Darbuka (also known as the doumbek)
Riqq (Egyptian tambourine)
Zils (finger cymbals)
Duff (large frame drum)
Mazhar (large tambourine)
