About the Artist
Serge Blenner - for almost twenty years this name has been synonymous with sophisticated and extravagant music. Through a remarkable combination of orchestra, electronic textures and poetry, this extraordinary composer, arranger and producer has created a distinctive style. Though familiar from a very early stage with the full Western European musical tradition, his roots are in the music and spirit of his native France.

Blenner continuously makes this music, repeatedly bridging the gap between E- and U-music, between serious art and general entertainment. He never tires of showing that the possibilities of the human being are hindered only by mental barriers - and these possibilities are revealed time and again with corresponding daring by Blenner himself.

„Virtualis" is the 15 chapter of the acoustic autobiography of this unconventional European composer of "Computer Acoustic Music", who takes full advantage of modern music-technology, but never delegates his role to automation - no matter how fashionable it may be to do so. **** Serge Blenner was born 1955 in France and studied composition and harmony at the conservatoire of Mulhouse, before he moved to Germany in 1975.
