La Novem is a group of five female musicians who share a common taste for the beautiful Bearn polyphonic tradition. They have been performing this repertoire for over ten years!

The Bearn province in southwestern France has a living tradition of polyphonic song, heard at every festive celebration - carnivals, weddings, even contests held in bars and cafes. The characteristic polyphonic tradition involves between two and thirty singers! Included are traditional works as well as new arrangements of some older songs.
