Daniel was born to Puerto Rican parents in the city of New York in the fall of 1972. He grew up in the midst of a family that loved music, however, it was during his adolescent years that his love for music and for singing grew. At the age of 17, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and began singing at church services. Daniel received no formal musical training nor does he play an instrument. He attended the Center for the Media Arts in New York City where he learned about the different facets of the music industry. He always dreamed of creating music, but this dream grew as the Lord revealed His vision to him. Daniel set up a small studio in his home and began reading as much as he could about the music industry. He wrote songs and worked on his singing. After years of trusting in God and waiting in obedience, the Lord began opening doors and before he knew it, Daniel had finished his first CD in the Contemporary Christian genre.
"A Holy Place" was composed, written and sung by Daniel in Spanish and in English. Daniel turned to Rick Lloyd at TMC Recording Studios (a subsidiary of Trinity Broadcasting Network, Inc.) in Hendersonville, Tennessee who brought in arranger Walt Cunningham (Piano and Keyboards), Eddy Anderson (Drums), Jimmy Carter (Bass), Jeremy Medkiff (Guitars) and Sam Levine (Sax and Flute) along with background vocalists, Amaleia Ruble & Billy Davis. Walt Cunningham and Daniel oversaw the recording (engineered by Eddy Joyner) and the project was mixed by Daniel at Power Music Studios, CT. It was mastered by The SoundLab in NJ .The English CD "A Holy Place" will be available in the beginning of 2004. Daniel looks forward to sharing his music and desires to be used by the Lord to free many through the power of the Holy Spirit. He looks forward to the challenges ahead as God leads him to the fulfillment of the promises and the vision God gave him. Daniel and his wife Hannah have four children. He trusts the Lord to help him balance his new career and his family.
