Editorial Reviews
Mason Willams, Composer of "Classical Gas"
His performance is spirited and well played. Im honored to have a composition of mine in his good hands.
Product Description
"Those Were the Days," is the third release for Edgar Cruz. Each song on the release was selected in order to recapture a sence of and appreciation for the past. We often hear people say, "Those were the good ole days." This release was created to bring back fond memories of romance, laughter, smiles and good times, through beautiful and spirited songs. Throughout the years, many old classics, such as Unforgettable, New York, New York, and Unchained Melody, have been reborn by musicians and movie producers; and they've been embraced by young audiences who've heard them for the first time. While those individuals who grew up in the 1930s and '40s were, obviously, an important audience to consider when producing this release, "Those Were the Days," is intended to capture the interest and appreciation of music lovers of ALL ages. According to Edgar Cruz, the biggest challenge of preparing, producing and recording each of the songs for the release, was using one instrument - the guitar - to replicate each of the many voices and instruments from the original recordings
