The Legends Trilogy is comprised of three albums by Conni St.Pierre: "Beneath the Waves: Legends of Lost Cities", "Between the Branches: Legends of the Wild", and "Beyond the Sky: Legends of the Starry Night". It is an ambient musical exploration of myth and legend, with spacious and soaring alto flute melodies that create a musical seascape, landscape, and starscape. The listener can easily "float away" on the music, in meditation, relaxation, creativity, or just daydreaming. The cycle of legends focuses on ocean, land, and sky. "Beneath the Waves"has a dreamy, watery sound that is reflective of sitting on a rocky shore near the ocean. It is a calm meditative work. "Between the Branches" creates the musical details of a legendary mountain landscape. From a shimmer of sunlight on the river, to a butterfly landing on a wildflower, these songs evoke the spirit of the wild but tranquil forest. Like a walk in the woods without the effort. "Beyond the Sky" is the culmination of the series. The songs have a lilting flow that carries the listener across the vast ‘ocean of the sky’, into a more mythical place. Many of the tracks were recorded in the Maine woods, on the side of Mt. Will near The Outlook studio. Playing time totals over 120 minutes of musical escapism.
