mother night isthe sound track to a magickal life. Everything we feel is in there: ecstasy, rage, lust, bewilderment, all the things that left us cut up and bleeding, crawling out of our own wreckage, spreading wings we didn't know we had and learning to fly. Like dreaming we met God, and God has our face.

It's way good. The songs are all killer, and some of our best friends who are also amazing musicians played their butts off on it. It was produced by Mark Pistel of Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy and Consolidated and Meat Beat Manifesto ... you get the idea: he's really really good. And we met, and we worked together, and it was Good.

The best part is, it isn't quite like anything you ever heard before. We can say it's "electronica", but that doesn't give you the flavor of a synthesizer and a saxophone and a sitar all blending into one weird new instrument on Mother Night ... it's "Goth", but that doesn't touch the transcendent dissolution of Whisper ... it's "rock", but that doesn't begin to describe the slayer guitar work on This Kiss.
