About the Artist
Since his early teens, Albritton's musical talent, versatility, and charismatic high-energy stage presence have given him the opportunity to work extensively with national recording and touring acts on many major labels for over 25 years. Albritton has shared billing with some of the music industry's most innovative and popular artists of our time: Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Jim Croce, Delaney & Bonnie, Rush, Buddy Miles, Three Dog Night, NRBQ, The James Gang, Pat Benatar, Grand Funk Railroad, Nazareth, John McLaughlin, Foghat, Ted Nugent U.F.O., Hall and Oates, Loverboy, Joan Jett, Bryan Adams, The Kinks, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Foreigner, Journey, Pat Metheny, Iggy Pop, Eddie Money, Huey Lewis, The Romantics, Chuck Berry, and the list goes on. From his earliest demo recording sessions in Chicago with blues guitar legend, Mike Bloomfield, through subsequent impromptu jams with other legends in the late sixties and seventies, (Paul Butterfield, Jimi Hendrix, Janice Joplin, Muddy Waters, Otis Rush, Charlie Musselwhite, The Allman Bros.) to his performing and recording with such artists as: Roy Buchanan (Atlantic), French/Moroccan band Les' Variations (Buddha), Beechwood Farm, The Innocent (w/Trent Reznor, "pre-Nine Inch Nails") Capitol, The Sacred Mushroom, Steve Miller Band Alumni Watermelon, The Drifters, Ram Jam, Sweet Lightnin' (RCA), The Silencers, David Werner (Epic), and 9 albums with Donnie Iris & The Cruisers (MCA), which can be viewed on the discography page at www.albrittonmcclain.com. This gave him exposure to vast and varied styles of musical expression and playing experience, which has developed this seasoned veteran. A prolific songwriter, with a repertoire of over 300 original compositions, Albritton is also a strong and unique vocal stylist, a multi-instrumentalist, composing and arranging on guitar and keyboard, an accomplished bassist, also playing drums and percussion. He has over a decade of experience in computer based music sequencing and drum programming. He currently composes on an elaborate computer midi sequencing and sampling set-up with an extensive digitally recorded library of contemporary, ethnic, and orchestral instruments, percussion, vocal, and sound effects at his own state-of-the-art 48 track digital recording environment, Audio Magic Studio. On his first film, Albritton worked with veteran producer/director Eric Louzil whose credits, in addition to giving Kevin Costner his first screen role, span working with Ken Russell on Altered States, Steven Spielberg's 1941, Francis Ford Coppola's One from the Heart, TV shows such as Police Story, Dukes of Hazard, 89 episodes of Dynasty and 3 years on Fantasy Island to name a few. Albritton's composing debut in this international release of the Hollywood production of "DILEMMA" starring C. Thomas Howell (E.T., The Kindred), Sophia Shinas (The Crow), Danny Trejo (Con-Air, Anaconda), John Capodice (Speed), won him accolades and established a place for him in the movie community as an up and coming composer. His composition and performance of the soundtrack for "DILEMMA" brought him to the attention of international director Roger Steinman for his latest feature film, "ILLUSION INFINITY" whose cast includes Dee Wallace Stone (E.T., Wolfen, Cujo, The Frighteners), Golden Globe Nominee Barbara Carrera (Never Say Never Again), Golden Globe Nominee Timothy Bottoms (The Last Picture Show, The Paper Chase), Martin Kove (The Karate Kid Trilogy), Theresa Saldana (TV's The Commish), and veteran star of stage and screen Mickey Rooney. Albritton was again chosen as the composer for the entire musical score. "ILLUSION INFINITY" debuted at the International Cannes Film Festival in summer of 1999 after which it was scheduled for worldwide release and distribution. Albritton performs with his Seattle based Rhythm & Blues group "Albritton McClain & The Bridge of Souls". Stand by for further developments.

Product Description
"New World Compositions" is a journey of original music and ethnic diversity, with an international flavor that crosses musical genres. It contains 16 tracks, is over an hour in length, and includes a 12 page full color, art / prose booklet. Predominantly instrumental, it contains two tracks ("Dilemma" and "Love Or Illusion" that were used as title themes in the two Hollywood film productions, ("Dilemma" and "Illusion Infinity", respectively) for which Albritton was the composer of both entire movie soundtrack scores. The one vocal track, "Love Or Illusion", is a soulful ballad used as the title song for "Illusion Infinity". It is sung as a duet by Albritton and his sister Monika McClain in this version, but for the film, the lead vocal was originally performed solely by Monika. Dee Wallace Stone (of E.T., The Frighteners, Cujo and many other films) plays the part of a world class singer in the film, and lip-syncs to Monika's vocal performance. All the backing tracks were performed by Albritton.
