Johnny is currently leading his own group in support of his latest CD release "Here's Johnny" which is receiving airplay on WLRN-FM, WDNA-FM, WXEL-FM & WRIU-FM. Bob Weinberg of City Link writes "Tinged with Latin flavor, Padilla's music is the essence of South Florida". David Dupont of Cadence writes "Padilla and Company invest the material with a great deal of energy and a sense of adventure".
Johnny has been a featured artist at "The Miami Latin Jazz Festival", "The Dade County Youth Fair", "The Dade County Book Fair", City of Hollywood's "Tropical Nights" & "Artwalk", Fort Lauderdale's "Riverwalk Sunday Brunch", "The Hispanic Heritage Festival", "The Beaux Arts Festival of Art", The Monroe County Art Council's Concert Series and Pleasure Island at Walt Disney World, in Orlando. Johnny is also performing as a featured artist with various other groups throughout Florida. Johnny was a musician for Jimmy Buffett's 1992 and 1993 U.S. tours and is featured on the 1993 platinum album "Fruitcakes". Johnny has also performed with many other artists including Angela Carrasco, Willie Chirino, Lola Flores, Alvarez Guedes, and Mongo Santamaria. He was a featured artist with the Miami Steel & Percussion Orchestra. He has performed for the Showtime Cable Network, Univison Television Network, WPBT Miami and the Telemondo Television Network in the following shows: La Liga Con! tra el Cancer (The Cancer Society Telemarathon), La Movida, Sabado Gigante, A la Cama con Porcel and The Hurricane Relief Concert. He also performed at the 1992 Tennessee Presidential Inaugural Ball. Johnny has toured as a musician to Austria, The Bahamas, Canada, Colombia, England, France, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and throughout The United States of America.
