About the Artist
James Rollins (artist/writer/producer) was born in Biloxi, Mississippi. Before his seventh birthday he started piano lessons with Margaret Dillenger of Thomasville, Georgia. When Mrs. Dillenger suddenly died, he began lessons with Ann Gainey of Thomasville where he received seven superior ratings from the Georgia Music Educators Association. He also received ten excellent ratings with several high school ensembles while playing the trombone.

After graduating Central High School of Thomas County, Georgia in 1986, James won the Elaine Dorminy Music Scholarship presented to those with exceptional musical talents attending Valdosta State University. In Valdosta he studied pipe organ with Dr. Ruth Sisson, and Jazz with Mr. Bob Greenhaw.

James cut his musical education short in 1989 to join the United States Air Force, and was stationed at Royal Air Force Mildenhall, United Kingdom. After returning to the United States, he entered the 1999 Air Force Entertainment Talent Competition. He was selected to join Tops in Blue, the Air Force's premier entertainment showcase. From April 5, 1999 to February 9, 2000 James entertained more than 280,000 Air Force personnel and their families during 124 performances at 114 locations throughout the United States, United Kingdom,Germany, Azores, Iceland, Greenland, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, France, Turkey, Korea, Japan, and Guam. His tour also led him through hostile areas to entertain military persons in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Recently, James has returned to the United States and is working with writers/artists who have had recent pop hits.

Product Description
Two Swift Alley is a collection of jazz and new age compositions, which soothe listeners. The preamble Dark Cathedral sets a somber mood for meditation. With a powerful organ and piano duet each note depicts the solemn Ely Cathedral in the heart of East Anglia. One can almost envision the open, lofty nave of the church.

After Acid Rain the music takes a different direction. A short climax occurs when the Matador Returns from his leave and triumphantly wins his fight with his last bull. Ebbing to another dark mood, the choral sounds of My Inspiration take the listener on a trek through the skies with Rotating Dust, Strobe Star, and Moon Dance.

The last track Two Swift Alley is a light but animative jazz composition. The listener has traversed a deliberate path from dismal sounds to an inspirational apex. Two Swift Alley will definitely leave the listener refreshed.
