Editorial Reviews
Since moving to America from Britain in 1997, Peter Muir has established himself as one of the most creative Ragtime and early jazz pianists of his generation. He has recently been received with acclaim at festivals, and recently played in, arranged, and musically directed the Ragtime review "Fables in Slang" for its initial run off-Broadway. Newsday has called his playing "terrific", and the New York Times reviewer Lawrence van Gelder described it as "potent".
A scholar as well as a performer he is currently studying for a Ph.D. at City University of New York aided by top fellowships.
