Rick Waldron has been a performing musician, composer, and instructor in the Pacific Northwest for 35 years - this is his third release (2005), and the culmination of a life in music. Endless Pursuit showcases his extraordinary abilities as composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist. All of the music on this CD is written and arranged by Rick, and you will hear him performing on: piano, synthesizers, acoustic and electric guitars, acoustic and electric basses, and a few other surprises as well. In addition, he is aided by some of the Pacific Northwest's finest musical talent. Ken French - Drums Gary Gibson - Percussion Greg Parman - Saxophones, Flute Robert Puff - Saxophone Alexey Nikolaev - Saxophone Jake Bergevin - Trumpet Doug Canning - Trumpet Jayne Drummond - Oboe Nel Krueger, Jill Waldron, Bev Dunton, Jen Dunton - Vocals "Endless Pursuit" is a combination of contemporary and traditional jazz - some of the tracks have a taste of Latin, Funk, or even mellow orchestral styles. Although the piano takes the lead on many of the tunes, this CD is full of an incredible variety of textures and moods. It has been described as "amazing" take a listen!
