Tommy Somerville is a musician, writer and teacher that lives in Atlanta, Ga. He can be found performing and composing with a variety of different groups and individuals. Of these include Squat( jazz, latin, blues and rock quartet), Grogus( latin, reg., world music orchestra), the TBS project ( a country/folk band that is in the woodworks) and Collective Efforts( a hiphop group based out of Atlanta)

The seed is the 1st solo sample from multi instrumentalist Tommy Somerville textured with jazz, rock, blues,comedic drum and bass, folk and hip hop that is rooted in the study of life and its surroundings. Think Pinkfloyd meets King Krimson in a dark alley with a clown selling curry out of his old car parked in the corner while a mad scientist attentively observes.
The songs are written about anything ranging from the follwing:
birth/death cycles, clones wondering if they have the ability to love, planting seeds(of opportunity-good and bad) and trying to start an old 72 ford galaxie 500.
All profits from the sales of this album will be donated towards providing care and homes to stray animals.
