A stalwart on Chicago's thriving jazz scene, Eddie Harris played with many of the jazz greats of his early days, from Charlie Parker onwards. Numerous leading artists, including Miles Davis, have recorded his works. His career, which spanned almost 4 decades, started at the legendary Vee-Jay Records, where he recorded 7 albums between 1961 and 1963. Exodus collects the best of these tracks and demonstrates the enormous breadth and depth of his talent. It features the hit single 'Exodus' as well as tracks from the highly successful Exodus To Jazz album which became the first jazz album to go gold in the US on its way to reaching number 2 in the charts.
