Terry began writing and recording music as a teenager and continues to do so today. His self-titled debut on Aardvark Records appeared in the Austin Chronicle’s "Best of 1999." It features eight original compositions and a reggae take on John Coltrane's "Naima," with contributions by an A-list of Austin jazz players and San Francisco-based guitarist Jackie King. He released his second CD, Stick Figures, on Aardvark Records in May 2003. This studio recording features Terry on piano, Rhodes, and electronic gadgets with a revolving cast of grooving Austin musicians including bassist Roscoe Beck and guitarists Mitch Watkins and David Grissom. The eight originals along with a cover of The Beatles’ "Across the Universe" together form an eclectic set of instrumental improvisational music that owes as much to Aphex Twin, Radiohead, and Jimi Hendrix as it does Miles Davis and Keith Jarrett.
Terry currently divides his time among his family, his career in computer chip design, and music.
