About the Artist
Its been a busy time for John. He has spent the past five years touring extensively, sharing his music with audiences across the Unites States and throughout Asia and Europe. In late 1999 and early 2000, Trones was on the road with singer Olivia Newton-John and BMG recording artist Jim Brickman. He toured on Brickman's holiday show and was honored to perform as a guest vocalist with the Toledo Symphony at their Millennium concert. Over the next year, John continued to tour with Jim Brickman, playing to sold out crowds in Hong Kong and Shanghai while he began work on the follow up to his debut album Forward. In 2002, John was signed to Universal Records in the Philippines and his album Forward has quickly jumped up the charts throughout Asia, debuting at #10 on the Philippine charts. In October, 2004, John released a new album, Romance. It is his third release and it marks the close to an eventful year. Along with recording Romance, Trones has been busy on the silver screen, both big and small. John can be seen in a series of Great Clips commercials airing this year. Hes the guy who, "knows the value of a dollar and a great hair cut." John has also had lead roles in two full-length independent feature films in several professional theatrical productions including "3Way", "Twilight of the Golds" "Godspell" "Jeffrey" and the brilliant comedy "Twelfth Night".
Product Description
Recording artist John Trones has crafted a smooth, gorgeous follow-up to "Forward" and "Holiday," his first two top-selling releases from Metropolis Music. "Romance" is a brilliant set of torch songs that explore the incredible joy and heartbreak of falling in love, leading the listener down a musical path that is both comfortable and intimate, yet brings a sexy new energy to some familiar lyrical classics. Trones passionate tenor voice is intense, but venerable and wraps beautifully around Brickmans emotive piano, giving "romance" a rich ambiance that, once played, immediately welcomes you home. "Romance" features guest performances by Martha Mathewson, Dana Mathewson, Harry Pontiff, Joanna Jahn and Jim Brickman. Produced by John Trones and Jim Brickman.
