Jerry Gray, talented arranger for Artie Shaw & Glenn Miller, formed his own band for recording purposes. The band was so successful it went on tour playing in the Miller style helped by many ex-Miller men such as Wilbur Swartz, Millers clarinet lead. These Miller numbers, mixed with own original recordings, released during 1949 & 1951, give a feeling of authenticity to the sound over 70 minutes of which can be heard on this CD.
