Guido Basso is one of Canada’s most charismatic and influential jazz musicians. Whether performing as soloist, sidesman, or leader, or as arranger, composer, or conductor, he has been thrilling audiences worldwide for over four decades. This release is unique in many ways, with a backdrop of one of Montreal’s most dynamic jazz trios, pianist Lorraine Desmarais, bassist Michel Donato and drummer Paul Brochu, plus a string orchestra complement, all directed by another Canadian jazz great, Phil Dwyer.
