Powerhouse Trio comes from Columbus, Ohio and is fronted by Dave Powers on keyboards and vocals, Joe Crump on tenor sax and vocals, and Aaron Scott on drums. Known for energetic, spontaneous music arrangements and entertainment, Powerhouse Trio sounds like a bigger group than just a trio. Dave Powers has entertained many audiences on the local and national scene for over 22 years as a pianist, keyboardist and vocalist. Dave handles the bass parts (played with his left hand) and keyboard parts with great imagery, leaving the listener wondering who the bass player is. Joe Crump came to Columbus from Dallas, Texas, and has acquired the name "Joe Blow," because of the intensity that he puts in to his saxophone. Aaron Scott is originally from Columbus, and is the son of legendary Columbus pianist Bob Allen. Aaron has been active in the Columbus jazz scene for almost 20 years. Besides being in Powerhouse Trio, Dave, Joe and Aaron also play in numerous other bands.
