James Moody has lived and worked as a full-time musician on Catalina Island for ten years during which time he had the opportunity to play with musicians such as Grover Washington Jr., Dave Koz, Rick Braun, Peter White and Monty Budwig. James feels extremely fortunate to be able to pursue his musical career in a place that he loves so much.
BAND MEMBERS:
Steve Reid, world renowned percussionist and producer is a household name to music enthusiasts. He has played on over seven hundred recordings and produced several gold records world wide. Steve toured the world extensively as a member of Supertramp and as a founding member of the Rippingtons, one of the most successful jazz groups of the decade. Steve is an avid collector of rare and unusual percussion instruments from around the world. With over six hundred instruments in his collection, Steve is always looking for new concepts to integrate ethnic world sounds into popular music.
Gary Herbig has played on over one thousand records, movie and television themes, with artists ranging from Paul McCartney & Michael Jackson, Barbara Streisand, George Benson and Van Halen, to Elvis Presley, Jose Feliciano and Quincy Jones. Garys solo release, Friends to Lovers, made the Top Ten Billboard Contemporary Jazz Charts.
Albert Wing is known by the music industry as one of the finest Tenor Saxophone players in the business. As you can hear on this recording his flute talents are equally impressive. Albert has played with Frank Zappa, George Benson, Larry Carlton and Diana Ross just to name a few.
Ambrose Spleseia was a featured artist and graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston Mass. His work includes television and radio sound tracks and he will be relesing his first solo album soon.
Mikel Allen is from Southern California and has been living in Hamburg Germany for several years where he records and performs live shows with some of Europes top musical artists.
John Palos owns and operates JP Studio in San Pedro, California. John plays piano, organ, and various keyboard instruments with Jazz groups throughout Southern California.
