About the Artist
Land of Chocolate was formed in 2000 by Philadelphia-native Jonn Buzby, who had played drums in Finneus Gauge, but now shifted to the role of keyboard player and lead vocalist. The new band's first CD, Unikorn on the Cob, was released in 2001 and featured Brian O'Neill on guitar, John Jens on bass, and ex-echolyn drummer Jordan Perlson on drums. While the debut album was very well received, personnel problems set in and Buzby relocated to Chapel Hill, North Carolina and reformed Land of Chocolate to include John Covach on guitar and vocals, Gerald Wilson on bass and vocals, and Wes Hare on drums. The new line-up released the EP Assorted Non-Pareils in August 2003, and then the full-length CD, Regaining the Feel in July 2004.

The album's style is a clear extension of the first CD, Unikorn on the Cob, with Covach's guitar playing adding a new dimension to the band's already highly layered sound. Covach and Wilson also provide the back-up vocals here, which add more variety to the overall vocal sound than is to be found on the debut CD.
